Short Bio

No, really...I was a chubby little baby born the day that Chuck Berry's "Mabellene" hit #1 on the: Pop, R & B, and Country charts. The music of THE AMERICAN PEOPLE is my "touch stone". Some of us came here seeking freedom, some of us came here in chains, but all are my sister & brother AMERICANS. My "cousins" from the Mother Country (England & the Commonwealth Nations) added to the glorious musical culture in my native land. This music is the theme song of the struggle for freedom! Pop, Rock 'n' Roll, Country, Folk, Soul, Funk, Punk, Reggae, Rap, Jazz all have one very important thing in common; they are expressions of peolple yearning to be FREE!

Why give this music away? Well, although the critics have been kind to my records, the discs never really sold very well. But wait,
it gets even better. In 1989 I began battling a very rare form of Multiple Sclerosis (Relapsing Progessive with Pseudo Exacerbations) and haven't been able to do many live performances. That is the "kiss of death" for record sales...so why bother??? My Granpa Wells recorded a "Red Label" 78rpm for Edison, so recording seems to be in my very blood. If anybody gets even the slightest kick out of my "life's blood" then it has not been "shed" in vain!!!
